Roshel started at Chon-Ji Academy 5 years ago, when she was 6 years old. Now she is 11 years old and a proud recommend black belt! She became stronger and a hard worker through the years much of that thanks to her training. She continued her training with dedication through this hard year and we are so thankful for Chon-Ji Academy for being one of the only facilities for children that did everything to remain open and to keep our children, busy, healthy, fit and above all, taught them how to not quit and how to reach their goals despite obstacles of any kind.

I had never heard of Krav Maga before so it all sounded very interesting. Then after the first class I decided to do it because it seems important to know how to defend yourself and it was so much fun. I like the atmosphere and everyone is very helpful and so nice. The combination of all these things made me decide to do it and it works out very well!

Chon ji is more than just another martial arts school. It's a second family. It's a sanctuary. It's a stress relieving outlet. (Much needed for me) chon ji is a cut above the rest and dare I say the best martial arts institution in the area. There are tough days and grueling workouts. But most come from within and help me dig deep within and accomplish more than i thought I ever could. I'm proud to be a part of this journey and thankful for the time, patience, and effort the staff has sacrificed to make me a better individual both inside and out. I recommend this place to ANYONE at any age.

I have had my two kids in Chon-Ji Academy for the past 6 weeks. Both really enjoy it, are crazy motivated to advance in the belt system, and most importantly, are getting amazing exercise while really improving each week. That's what really surprised me the most - there is little downtime, so the workout is really impressive, even in contrast to sports like basketball (no bench time!) and t-ball. I recommend it!

You cannot make many better investments in your children. Confidence, discipline, coordination, pride, and most importantly, fun. My son began in March and the change in his physical coordination and overall confidence level is night and day. Prior to starting, he was very nervous and shy in social situations, was a bit physically awkward, and was not confident to step into new situations. Master Casser, Mrs. Casser, and Mr. Miles are amazing. (As are the student teachers) They build self confidence and provide a fun, yet structured, environment. Cannot say enough good things!

This is not your average martial arts school. They have adopted me and become family. The people that come here are serious about what they do but they are also respectful, focused and determined to not just be better martial artists but better people. I've been here for two years and the thought of moving away from the school just doesn't sit right with me. No matter what age you are this is the school for you.

Fantastic mixture of great class (Krav-maga), excellent teachers , good and practical techniques and super convenient timings. I'm half way through first level and I feel so confident when it comes to self-defense. Classes are fun and non-stop laughter during the class makes them more attractive. I would definitely recommend Krav-Maga to all my friends and relatives.

Two years ago when I was looking for an outlet for my 9 year old nephew who has ADHD I looked at 4 martial arts programs in the area and I am so happy we choose Chon-Ji academy in Teaneck. The program provided Chris with a physical outlet as well as exercises in mental focus that benefited him both at school and at home. This year in preparation of my 17 year old daughter leaving for college I wanted her to be prepared to defend herself from predators but as you know a senior in high schools schedule is so tight. I convinced her to enroll her in the self defense class that is offered once a week for 30 minutes with no long term commitment. After 3 short months she is both physically and mentally prepared to defend herself should she have to and it has opened up a dialogue between us for "what if's" that used to annoy her. I feel so much better now knowing she has the ability to assess danger and defend herself that I can get excited about her impending college departure. I cannot thank Master Casser enough for both helping my nephew and daughter prepare for their life challenges.

Chon-Ji Academy is absolutely incredible! I have been a student there for 6 months as part of their Krav Maga program and it was love at first class!! The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming, and yet the classes are focused and intense, threaded with jokes and laughter. Master Casser and Mr. Miles are great instructors (and actors! ?) and overall good people who inspire their students to do and be the best that they can. As a beginner I was instantly made to feel comfortable in the class and in my own abilities to learn new techniques for self defense. I hope to be a student here for a long time!!

Jonathan started attending Chon Ji Academy immediately after we relocated from Florida. We were both seeking a much needed sense of belonging and I am so lucky I found this Gem in Teaneck. This was in the summer of 2015. He is now a red belt and still excited about learning, seeing his instructors and friends in class. We found so much more here. Family owned and everyone plays a role in teaching your child. Skills learned go beyond martial arts and will stay with him growing up. Accountability, self respect, confidence, control , goal setting and so much more. I am very thankful!
